Woodland owners can use TIGER on their home computers to inventory, evaluate, and manage their timber resource.

TIGER is the most complete, low cost, easy to use timber inventory system available to land owners and foresters.
-
TIGER computes any combination of species, pulp wood, saw logs, and veneer---all in the same stand of timber.
-
TIGER will determine volume and dollar value of standing timber, project both into the future at five year intervals for up to twenty years.
-
TIGER allows owners to play "what if" games with simulated harvests and thinnings to determine which best fits their needs for timber, wildlife, and scenic values.
-
Use TIGER to determine your "basis" for tax purposes.
-
TIGER will enable woodland owners to maximize profits from timber harvests.
-
Using TIGER is especially valuable and easy for woodland owners participating in the Wis. Managed Forest Law.
-
TIGER will compare investment returns from woodland with other investment opportunities.
-
Woodland owners may submit TIGER inventory data to several foresters and select the one whose management ideas best suit his or her needs.
